GeraGeraldine’s life’s work began as an elementary school teacher in P.S. 43 on East 135th Street.  She then moved on to writing native language learning materials for a bilingual education program with the Seminole Indian Tribe of Florida.  She lived on Big Cypress Reservation for several years with her four daughters.   Geraldine then moved to northern Chile where she directed an international education program in the Atacama Desert.  She was eventually recruited by Irish Aid to develop locally produced learning materials for Tanzania’s primary schools.  She lived and worked with her youngest daughter, Kaniah, in the Tanga Region of Tanzania for five years.  Geraldine now lives and teaches in Dublin, Ireland.
