Hi Nancie

It was so lovely to get your exciting email, thank you so much. I have just

placed my order as per your advise so it is all getting under way sooooo so

exciting! I just have to trust that all will go ahead as it should.

I shall share this with you as I know you will enjoy this - I have kept the

book a complete surprise for my husband, he knew absolutely nothing about it

and has now only known about it less than 24 hours! His response was really

quite mild and I think he was lost for words which is really funny as he has a

control type of personality, so I can see the funny side of it. I have a

dedicated Facebook page for the book and have quite a few friends that have

been very supportive of the book and dying to know about his response. Its

great to have them there behind me and encouraging me all the way. I put a

photo of the book cover on the Facebook page and all the responses were so

positive and "it is so you" so they are all waiting for a copy of the book and

I know they will bring me others who will wish to purchase same so its worth

having "freebies" to support friends. Already there are some who have joined

my Facebook page who I have never every met! So purchases are already waiting.

I even have a shop who is waiting for the book to come out so they can have it

on their shelves! I am just so grateful for all that support and Nancie I

can't tell you how much I appreciate your efforts for me. Thank you so very

very much.

Raine

===============================

Hello Nancie.

Thank you for your e-mail.

Let me fill you in with me and what I am doing, as efficiently as I can.

First and foremost I am very happy with you all, I feel nurtured and frequently pointed in the right direction, as well as encouraged to do as much as I can.

I have 'The Illustrated Mind of Mike Reeves' and soon my children's book, which I have illustrated, will be out.  I am a busy man, but will not shy away from promoting my literary work. I paint pictures and am also self employed in 'normal' work.  But soon I am winding the 'normal' down. I am 59 this year.

I have frequently been in touch with Kait and she has steered me towards keeping a blog and google alerts. I am doing both regularly. I am keen on many ideas she has sent but one step at a time eh?

I have been very active on the internet and have just requested a review copy to be sent to a web site and am out there promoting myself. Not only blog and forums etc but contacting lots of local book stores and similar things. I have worked in sales and am not shy, but am definitely not pushy.  I come over as 'nice', for want of a better word, ::blush:: and want to achieve what I can by being just a nice ordinary sort of man.

I have booked myself a talk with a local book club. My next step is to contact spiritualist churches in my area, with a view of having chats with meditation groups, talking about divination, as used in my novel.

After this I can 'go for miles' with similar ideas.

I also want to be out there actively chipping away. I want to get posters in the right places. I want bookmarks tucked in similar novels on bookshelves and libraries. I want a display or two so I can leave them in the right places.  I have 25 books in stock but hope to buy another 25 soon. I am doing things with them.

One of my better ideas, (I do have daft ones too!) is this...

I live in a beautiful tourist area. Very English, very pretty, extremely historical and steeped in legend and mystery. My book uses the area and I am quite knowledgeable about all the area. My hobbies are walking with my dog (buster....a boxer...he says hello....lick lick woof!) and looking at all things historical. Especially stone circles and things.

The local tourist board have loads of leaflets about attractions in places like pubs, shops, tea rooms, tourist attractions etc.

I'm not bad on the computer but will need a professional touch, But I intend to make a 'three fold' leaflet directing people to the places used in the novel. There is a company called 'take one' who distributes them.

So, remember that I will have all this to do for two books. As well as fulfilling my art commitments, I sell via my web site, and three outlets locally and my own craft stall in a mill. I'm a granddad, and busy at work.

So...be patient.

So send me an invoice and lets get going on displays and bookmarks, then maybe my leaflet, after I do a draft. My children's book is 'Tales from Thimble Hall' which will have lots of different ways to promote it.

Customer Reviews (Strategic Book Group)- General Publishing

Strategic Book Marketing   focuses in the US and UK and Australia and we think globally. We are relatively new, and we are aggressively launching as many titles this year as our budget will allow.

We are a smaller "boutique" publisher. We seek authors that want a close relationship, and trusted counsel from their publisher.  Our turnaround times are faster, and we believe we are more responsive than larger publishers.

Choosing a publisher is one of the biggest decisions you will ever have to make. We hope that no matter what path you choose you find success. Customer reviews are always a great way to learn about a company. Please see what some of our published authors have had to say about the services we provide.

If you have any questions please email Kait@strategicbookmarketing.com for more information.

Customer Reviews (Strategic Book Group)- General Publishing

Hello Everyone!  I must say that I have never known a more dedicated, loyal, and hard working group of staff members/employees with such family status and each professionals in your fields from every department, that caters to the needs, and requests of it's writers while exceeding everyone’s expectations. From the instructions to the patience to the designing of the cover, and the information on formatting, a step by step process that nearly took the patience of God.  Yet you never complained or discarded me.  For that, I thank you, each and every one of you.  I am truly proud, honored, and pleased with each of you. Outside of punctuation, that I'll hopefully have corrected in the near future, I can't find anything out of order.  You guys are brilliant and your quality of service is outstanding.  I cried when my book arrived.  Everything was just so overwhelming to me.  Whatever success I have, could not have been possible without any of you.  We work well as a team.  Congratulations to each of you!

Print, design, cover, name, book title over page, back cover proof and copy/print quality...all superb!
I am ready to have POETIC PROVERBS of DAILY LIFE released

Dear Georgina,

I'd like to thank you and everyone at AEG/Strategic for making my dream reality, for publishing Noah Ramsbottom and the Cave Elves. 2009 has been a stunningly momentous year for me as a writer and I appreciate the risk that your organization has taken with me as an unknown writer with my work. I have been really pleased with the production, distribution and support for the first Noah Ramsbottom book. It's on sale all over the planet from Italy to India, Seattle to Settle. And it is selling, my local book store in Settle, sold out his stock and has sold out his re order! I know the numbers are still small but the trend is positive. This month I embarked on school visits in the north of England to promote the book, and the number of confirmed visits for January is fifteen so far! In January and February I'm going to give readings to youth groups. The book is going into libraries too. In the last month I''ve contacted independent book stores by the dozen and in the new year we will be writing to every single Waterstones book store in the UK. I've done local and regional newspaper interviews and photo shoots and have two regional radio interviews lined up for January too. There are positive reviews going onto online book stores around the globe and you can see what the kids think of Noah by going to http://www.ninnylizard.com/noahramsbottom.htm and select book review. I'd love to submit the second Noah book, Noah Ramsbottom and the Mystery of Skull Island direct to AEG/Strategic and see book number two published and on sale. Are AEG/Strategic interested in the second book and if so what kind of contract can we look at? Who should I submit the manuscript to?

Finally, I'd like to thank you for everything this year, especially for your patience and for resolving almost everything!
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Rob Bullock, Author of “Noah Ramsbottom and the Treasure of Skull Island" http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/NoahRamsbottomAndTheTreasureOfSkullIsland.html

Dear Sherry,

I am overjoyed to have the opportunity to grow under your agency!I have already requested the information for the critique and will get that underway as soon as they answer the email.Since I know our time together is coming to an end, I wanted to take the chance to let you know that apart from your incredible efficiency and professionalism in answering emails, the way you keep potential clients informed during the process is truly commendable!  I at no time felt as though I was incapable of answering questions about the service you offer or the processes you use.Thank you so much for this chance!  I am convinced that with hard work, this will be a profitable endeavor for us both!!

Thank you again and have a great day!

Just want to express my sincere appreciation for the help given by your group especially Linc Wonham.  I had worked on a story for years and kept putting off having it published, much less getting it edited.  My problem is that I get so involved with the writing that I get bogged down in the details and then cannot tell what could be cut to make the story stand out.  Linc has done this.  Being a first time author, I did know this was something I needed help with and I am most pleased with the result.I do have other ideas for manuscripts but now want to find out if this book will be something someone else will love to read.  With any author, they want a blockbuster and I am no different and now I feel it is possible.
Thanks again,

Your whole process has been seamless, to this point that we have reached, and I have no doubt the rest of the experience will live up to such professional excellence.  Everyone I've dealt with in this,  my first publishing venture, has been helpful, pleasant, quickly responsive, and the quality of the editing is excellent.  The editor exhibits an understanding of poetry and its oddments, and at no time did I feel anything but comfortable with proposed changes and/or with compromises reached.  Thank you!  I have recommended you to aspiring authors I know, and I will continue to do so.

Thanks for your work and effort on my life long project...God Bless YOU!!

You've done an absolutely fantastic job, and your patience with my nitpicking should qualify you for sainthood.  I'm looking forward to working with you again.

Christine Miller, Author of “Storm Brewing” http://www.strategicbookpublishing.com/StormBrewing.html

Dear Andrew,
I just wanted to say another 'thank you' for your wonderful work on the book layout. I'm getting numerous comments from readers who mention particularly the font, font size and headers.  It must be good since these compliments are unsolicited.
Thank you so much!

Susan Bainbridge, Author of “Hoarfrost and Cherry Blossoms” http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/HoarfrostAndCherryBlossoms.html

Hi Georgie,
I finally did it! I'm now ready to start my journey in the book world. Everybody at your company did a great job, on every level.  I am very happy and cannot wait to order 100 books - right out of the gate. Please tell everyone thank you.

Larry Chiapelli, Author of “Chiapelli's Live Poker Strategies” http://www.strategicpublishinggroup.com/title/ChiapellisLivePokerStrategies.html

Hi Carol,

Thank you for returning the copy of my signed contract. Can I say I was extremely nervous about signing up as the offer of an opportunity to a contract with literary agent and the chance to publish my book all seemed too good to be true. However, after 18 months and enough rejections to wallpaper my house I decided to take a chance. Can I say I like the way you people do business direct and to the point, no mucking around, no nonsense! Just the way I like to do business. I think your motto should be "Create the mindset from the outset!"
